Anti-Fog

Our Anti-fog coating is engineered to perform. It is made to withstand fogging under the toughest conditions. We have a thorough inspection process to ensure that our coated products meet our customer¹s high standards and expectations of Plaskolite-Bunker. Anti-fog coatings are applied under the same stringent Class 10 clean-room conditions as our hard-coatings (HMR).

Anti-Fog: R Mar Coat

R mar Coat's coating operation is equipped with (2) Class 100 Clean Room Buildings and three (3) coating systems to properly process any materials. Our facilities are operated and maintained by highly skilled and trained technicians. R mar Coat is supported by a research staff and technical engineering/design groups, plus fifteen (15) years experience.

Total optical quality coatings are assured by in-house text equipment, process inspection criteria, and performance measuring and monitoring devices.

R mar Coat Coating Classifications

Optical quality coatings available from R mar Coat are grouped into categories according to function. The categories and brief descriptions are as follows:

Abrasion / Chemical Resistant Hardcoating as well as Anti-Fog Coatings: State-of-the-Art silicone coatings applied under stringent Class I clean room conditions, and specifically formulated to match each material. Applied to molded, formed or fabricated configurations as well as sheets on one or both sides. All temperature anti-fog coatings to control fogging and condensation. Applied under same stringent conditions as the hardcoats.

Reduced Glare Coatings: Silicone hardcoatings designed and formulated to offer non-glare or reduced glare properties to the various materials as required. Same state-of-the-art optical qualities as standard hard coats.

Custom Designed Coatings, UV Protective Coatings: Invisible coating to protect against UV degradation. Can be applied before or after part is formed.  R mar Coat can produce many coating designs to meet customer needs. We invite your inquiry to design a coating that will fulfill your requirements.

Processing Information: Applications of life or service extending coatings, enhancing the quality as well as usability of technically designed parts consist of many optical quality plastics like acrylics, polycarbonates, PETG, cellulsic or various mirrored plastics to name a few. By selecting the proper materials, thicknesses and coatings, many design characteristics can be formulated. While extremely durable, the coating compositions have little actual thickness, thus the only significant thickness is the basic material on which the coatings are applied. These durable coatings generally do no change performance characteristics over time.
